3. The City Walls Tour

Almost 2 kilometres long, the city walls were picked to shoot many of the HBO record-breaking tv series Game of Thrones. 5. Dubrovnik winter festival and Saint Blaise holiday

Enjoy a variety of food, drinks, souvenir and sweets from Dubrovnik and all over Croatia during this Winter festival happening from December 2nd to January 15. There’s nothing more magical than walking around & exploring Dubrovnik’s Old Town in winter, with all the Christmas lights and decoration and why not, drinking a hot cup of boiled wine or boiled gin (two of the most appreciated Christmas beverages around here during winter). 7. Wine tasting tours: for those who “drink and know things”

If you enjoy some good wine (we cannot blame you) come to Dubrovnik this winter and be sure to check out the wine-tasting tours and our local wineries! Most popular wine growing region is Croatia in close to Dubrovnik, Peljesac peninsula famous for its numerous wine roads. You will have the opportunity to taste some good wine sitting right in front of our beautiful sea, visit local markets and taste local honey, ham and cheese, all while enjoying our world’s envied sights. Our favorite wine is Plavac Mali Škrapa by Marlais winery – you can visit them for wine tasting or enjoy it in some of the restaurants in town (Nautika, Skar winery, D’vino Winery).

8. Take advantage of free Dubrovnik tourist board activities

Our Tourist Board each year tries to extend the tourist season by adding more activities in Dubrovnik in the winter. This is the 4th year in a row they have the “Saturday winter morning in Dubrovnik”. Program runs every Saturday from November 9th to March 28th. It includes a free tour of the Old Town starting at 10am in front of the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at Pile. In order to participate, please contact their office at least one day in advance, until 6pm (e-mail: ured.pile@tzdubrovnik.hr). Afterwards you can enjoy a free performance by the folklore ensemble FA Linđo beginning at 11:30 am in front of the Cathedral (in case of rain the performance will not be held).
