How to get to Dubrovnik escape room?

Our address: Josipa Kosora 22, Dubrovnik

The easiest way to travel around Dubrovnik, and thereby to get to Dubrovnik Escape Room, is by bus. The public transport system is very good, with a lot of busses connecting all neighbourhoods of the city.

To get to our escape room  with the bus is pretty simple: take bus number 2, 2A, 4, 5 or 7 from the closest station, and ask the driver (or any of the locals, they are always kind and helpful) for Josipa Kosora street (or Cokolino area, it’s almost the same). Bus number 2 will stop directly at Josipa Kosora street, while buses 2A, 4, & 7 will stop on Iva Vojnovica street – if you are coming from Old Town, you should exit at the 5th bus stop from Pile (1st bus stop after Hotel Lero).

Once you get out from the bus, just follow the banners we put for directions. We are located next door to Pemo store, just behind the football field. You will be at our location in less than 3 minutes.

One good thing to keep in mind is that the bus passes are available for 1 hour, so you can change as many busses within that time frame. Also, buying the bus pass from Tisak Kiosks is cheaper (12 kuna) than buying it from the driver (15 kn).

Bellow you can find a detailed map of the bus lines that run in Dubrovnik. Follow the red circle with our logo marker to see where you have to get. (Click the map to open in full size).

Newest schedule of the Dubrovnik bus lines can be found on each of the bus stops, and you can also check online here.

Escape Room…. What and why?

roomescape zagreb-blog

First time I heard the term escape room, I had no idea what to expect. Although very intuitive, the name itself has seriously not led me to think anything 🙂

Bogdan on the other hand, was being very persistent in trying to make me believe it’s a reaaally cool new trend and I would love it! So we set off for our first ever visit to the escape room. This was September 2015, in RoomEscape Zagreb. Although we were only 2 players & both first timers, being huge adrenaline junkies there was no other way but to L-O-V-E this place!

The excitement you start to feel as soon as you enter the room. The theme of the room with all the details make you feel like you are starring in a movie! The immersion is real, you instantly start to live in the character! You hear… the ticking of the time… you feel… the pressure of the mission….We got so involved into our mission, we completely forgot about the outside world! All that was important now was to find the ticking time bomb and deactivate it before it destroys the whole world!

We had to work together to search the room carefully, to look through the items and to distinguish between real clues and distractions. An escape room is a real test of your communication & cooperation abilities. There is no way you could solve all the puzzles without teamwork! Each of us functions differently, and what was really cool for us from this experience was seeing how our brains work differently. Some things were easy and logical for me (duh!), while some were utterly confusing and complex (Bogdan’s part of the puzzle-solving 😛 ). In the end, it was us working together that managed to get us out of the room, with only minutes to spare.

We were set on a mission of saving the world, and for those 60 minutes, nothing else in life mattered! We forgot all about our worries, responsibilities, problems, to-do lists… This has been the most amazing experience I have had in a while & has definitely made me take my mind off of things, relax, unwind & de-stress!

The fact that we opened our own escape room in Dubrovnik tells you just how much we loved this experience! We hope to further pass this experience & emotions to the people living & visiting Dubrovnik area, who are in search of some cool activities to do in Dubrovnik!

Have you experienced an escape room yet?

Go & try! We promise you escape from reality, excitement & fun!!

Dubrovnik Escape Room rated as having 'memorable puzzles' by british escape room reviewer

Few weeks ago we had a visit from a ‘mystery shopper’, Toby, an escape room enthusiasts that played several dozens escape rooms around the world. He is a professional escape room review that came with his partner to play our room. You can read his whole review of our (and other rooms) on EscapeTheReview.Co.Uk.

Toby revealed his identity only after the whole game was done and we were almost saying goodbyes, so he received a true and unbiased experience. And he loved it!

We were very pleasantly surprised with with his review, as he loved the story, the puzzles and the immersion as well. He also gave us some improvements ideas, which are very welcome since we know we can always improve and make the experience even better. Here are some quotes from his review:

“Dubrovnik’s first escape room draws on the city’s alter ego as King’s Landing in Game of Thrones, and while you don’t need any knowledge of the TV series or books, fans will enjoy the references to events in those.”

“… exploring the room uncovered a gleeful profusion of knick-knacks and decorations that suggests it was built with great enthusiasm for the theme and also a happy lack of budget control. At the same time, it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of each clue and decoration, with proximity or commonality of design being used for subtle hinting.”

“Puzzles tend to involve multiple steps in a way that delays the gratification of solving them, but which adds to the eventual pay-off, and which gives everything a clear sense of progression as it builds to the end. The underlying puzzle design is skilful enough that it’s seamless, which is how it should be; and moreover it’s executed with a flair and style that left me positively gleeful about some of the puzzles before I’d even got to them. If you’re in the area, this is a room worth going out of your way to play.”

Toby rated our room 4/5 stars, tagging the article as ‘”memorable puzzles”, which really makes us proud seeing that rooms we also played and really enjoyed got the same rating as us, or even lower.

We are happy to see that experienced players appreciate the passion, creativity and hard work we have put into building our puzzles. It’s exciting to know we have managed to create a fun, immersive and memorable escape room experience! It was a fun adventure for us, ultimately ending in living our dream, one happy team at a time!

If you are in Dubrovnik, and you love playing escape rooms, come and visit us!  Book your escape room adventure in King’s Landing !
